Proton and P31 correlation

Proton and P31 correlation

(A) 2D gHSQCAD.

Load gHSQCAD, goes to “Acquire” -> “Default”.  Select P31 as “F1 Nucleus”, and save it.

This experiment will give a 2D H1-P31 correlation data.

(B) Proton observe and P31 CW decoupling.

(This experiment is available on A500a and A500b)

1. Set up a first experiment: PHOSPHORUS.

2. Set up a second experiment: PROTON.

3. Submit the first two experiments.

4. Wait until the PHOSPHORUS experiment finishes.

5. Display the PHOSPHORUS spectrum.

6. Move the cursor to the interested peak, and type ‘nl’, read the PPM value of the peak.

7. Load up a third experiment, H1ObsP31Dec, goes to “Acquisition” -> “Channel”.  In the decoupling column, change the frequency unit from Hz to PPM, and enter the interested P31 peak PPM value to the table.  Change “Dec modulation” to “c”, and save it.

8. Submit these H1ObsP31Dec experiments.

After the three experiments finish, open both PROTON and H1ObsP31Dec spectra from MNova, highlight both and click “Stack” to display the two in the same frame.  From the difference of the two, one can notice which proton peaks were coupled to P31.
